About Council on Aging
Council on Aging (COA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life for older adults, people with disabilities, their families and caregivers.
We do this by administering local, state and federally funded programs and services that enable older adults and people with disabilities to live with independence and dignity in their homes and communities.
Our mission is to enhance lives by assisting people to remain independent through a range of quality services. COA’s core service area includes Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, and Warren counties.
Council on Aging contracts with hundreds of businesses in our region (service providers) to deliver a wide range of services to older adults, people with disabilities and caregivers. Services include:
- meals
- transportation
- personal care and housekeeping
- respite/companion care
- supportive services and independent living assistance
- social isolation
- behavioral health
- adult day care
- home repairs/modifications
- and much more…
How to become a Service Provider
A service provider is an established and qualified business contracted with Council on Aging to provide needed services to eligible older adults living in our service area. Businesses contract with COA to deliver services through one or more programs. Each program varies in terms of services delivered, rules for service delivery, and the application process for new providers. Click here to learn more.
Typically, the application to become a provider requires submitting a bid or proposal through a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) process. COA issues RFPs for specific services throughout the year. Click here to learn more about our RFP process. Interested businesses can sign up to receive updates about new RFPs.
