Older adults in Clermont County can thrive. But thriving is difficult to do without adequate nutrition. That’s where IPM Food Pantry (IPM) comes in.
Through several innovative programs, IPM delivers food directly to those in need. For example, last year alone, IPM distributed more than 1.3 million pounds of food, nearly a quarter of which went directly to support older adults.
Knowing Clermont’s residents are spread throughout the large county, IPM doesn’t rely solely on providing food at a single location, we provide food throughout the area. One of our unique offerings is our customized Pop-Up Pantries, which allow us to bring nutritious food to older adults right where they live. We visit senior living complexes, providing healthy, older-adult-focused food options like yogurt, berries, milk, eggs, and cheese—items that meet both their preferences and dietary needs.
Our Door Dash program also ensures older adults facing transportation challenges still have access to healthy food. Whether due to lack of driving ability or a medical condition, older adults who are unable to come to us can receive fresh produce, dairy, and other essentials delivered right to their front door.
A favorite IPM program: Fresh Start Kitchen. This program goes beyond providing fresh, frozen, and pantry food—it equips individuals and families with everything they need to set up a fully functional kitchen when they move into a new home. From pots, pans, and cooking utensils to dinnerware, cleaning supplies, and even appliances, we ensure their new space feels like home. The Fresh Start Kitchen gives them the essentials to begin their next chapter with confidence and comfort.
In September, we were part of Council on Aging’s (COA) Aging Connections event, held at the Union Township Administration Building. There, we were able to partner with COA ensuring vital resources reach the hands of our older residents.
