Council on Aging (COA) recently welcomed two new team members who bring with them a wealth of professional experience in areas directly related to COA’s programs and services.
Teri Bunting – COA’s new Director of Medicaid – comes from Molina, where she was manager of long term services and supports. There, she was in charge of case management, and had a chance to interact with COA’s MyCare Ohio Molina staff on policy and procedure compliance. Prior to that, Bunting was an incident management supervisor for Public Consulting Group.
“From working collaboratively with COA in the past, I have great respect for the organization, and look forward to learning about other Medicaid waivers, and overall process improvement at a higher systems level,” Bunting said.
Bunting is a Licensed Social Worker, an Accredited Case Manager and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. She holds a master’s degree in health services administration.
Judy Eschmann, who recently retired as Director of Clermont County Job and Family Services (JFS) after 33 years working there and with two other JFS offices in Ohio, was named Director of Program Operations. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Eschmann has broad experience working with vulnerable populations and with Medicaid programs in these positions. “I’ve seen Medicaid from eligibility and administrative perspectives,” she said. “At COA, I’m very excited about seeing Medicaid from a provider perspective.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Judy and Teri to our management team,” said COA CEO Suzanne Burke. “Their experience in their respective careers will be of tremendous value to COA.”
