Congratulations to COA’s Sharon Fusco, VP of Innovation and New Business Operations, for being honored as the Ohio Association of Area Agency on Aging’s (o4a) AAA Staff Member of the Year!
Each year, o4a recognizes an Area Agency on Aging (AAA) staff member for a significant contribution to Ohio’s Aging Network. Sharon was selected for the award by o4a’s Executive Committee. The award – which is kept secret – was presented last November at o4a’s 29th Annual Conference on Aging and Disability Resource Networks.
Here’s some of what o4a leaders had to say about Sharon as she was presented with the award:
Many assist beyond the call of duty, providing leadership that has an impact beyond their own agency. Honoring a person each year is our way to thank people for their commitment. This year the award goes to someone who has been a leader in tackling the thorniest of issues as we see many transitions in our network. She receives the respect of all who have been on one of her work groups where she manages to corral staff from all 12 AAAs to collect and analyze data, apply common sense, and come up with our best recommendations. Sharon Fusco, Vice President of Innovation and New Business Operations at Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio brings business acumen, common sense and a respect for the aging and disability network to all of her work. We are grateful to Council on Aging and Sharon as she lends her talents to benefit our entire network. Sharon, please come forward to accept this award and our appreciation.
