As our population ages, increasing numbers of people will need long-term care to help them function despite chronic illness and disability. This need – and the costs involved – will increasingly impact nearly every aspect of community life.
As our region’s Area Agency on Aging, Council on Aging (COA) is charged with helping communities and individuals to plan and prepare for their long-term care needs. In April, Council on Aging issued a survey to gather information and opinions from people in our service area to help us fulfill that role. More than 600 people completed the survey. Information gathered through the survey was analyzed and used in updating our 2019-2022 Area Plan for Programs on Aging. Click here to view the results of the survey.
Council on Aging will present the updated Area Plan at a public hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 1:30 pm, at our headquarters located at 175 Tri County Parkway, Cincinnati Ohio 45246.
If you cannot attend the public hearing, but would like to comment, a draft copy of the plan will be available online prior to the public hearing date. It will be posted, along with this notice, here. Please send comments in writing to COA at the address above, Attn: Ken Wilson, or via email to kwilson@help4seniors.org. Comments must be received no later than 5pm, Aug. 7.
