Council on Aging is pleased to announce the newest members of its Board of Trustees and Advisory Council.
Council on Aging is overseen by a Board of Trustees and assisted by an Advisory Council. The Board of Trustees sets policy and provides leadership for the organization in broad categories including agency mission, goals, priorities, executive performance and financial management.
The Advisory Council includes representatives of all five counties served by COA (Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, and Warren) and advises the organization and Board of Trustees on needs and issues of older adults and people with disabilities in their communities.
Newest members of COA’s Board of Trustees as of February 2018:
Cathy T. Crain, J.D. – Attorney and investment consultant. Ms. Crain has served on a number of notable boards and commissions in the greater Cincinnati area, including The Greater Cincinnati Foundation, Cincinnati Opera Company, the Hamilton County Hospital Commission, and Talbert House, where she currently serves as Chair. Ms. Crain holds a Master’s in gerontology, a Bachelor’s in Economics and Government, and earned her JD at the University of Akron.
Dora Anim – Chief Operating Officer, The Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Ms. Anim serves on the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s Executive Advisory Board for Women’s Programs and is a board member at the Springer School and Center. She is a graduate of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s C-Change Leadership program, WE Succeed and its Women’s Excel Leadership Class.
Kay Bolden – Division Manager, Business Services Division, Greater Cincinnati Water Works. Ms. Bolden is an experienced human resources professional who has held leadership positions at Cincinnati Museum Center and in the City of Cincinnati. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati, where she is a graduate of the African American Leadership Development program
Joining COA’s Advisory Council as of February 2018:
Dana Dunn (Clinton County) – Freelance communications consultant. Mr. Dunn is a member of the board of the Clinton County Foundation and HealthFirst for Clinton County. He has also served on committees or boards of the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, Wilmington Park Board, Clinton County YMCA, and Clinton County Family and Children First Council.
Janet Pecquet (Hamilton County) – Attorney, specializing in elder law at Burke and Pecquet, LLC. Ms. Pecquet has a special interest in elder law and has served as chair of the Ohio State Bar Association Elder Law and Special Needs Committee and is a past board president of the Association of the Professionals in Aging. She is a past member of the Hamilton County Elderly Services Program Advisory Council.
Jacqueline Carter (Hamilton County) – Teacher. Ms. Carter holds leadership positions with several education and religious associations. She is committed to serving older adult members of her church and is a past member of the Hamilton County Elderly Services Program Advisory Council.
