William Hambley, attorney at Pro Seniors, was honored by Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio for his integrity, character, and dedication to protecting the rights of vulnerable Ohioans.
Hambley received Council on Aging’s Outstanding Professional in Aging award at the organization’s annual meeting, March 14, at the Sharonville Convention Center.
Hambley’s co-workers describe him as a person of the highest integrity and character; a compassionate legal aid attorney who works hard to help Ohioans who would not otherwise be able to afford an attorney or legal advice. They describe him as THE Medicare expert in Ohio, and as a colleague who is patient, generous, and always willing to share his expertise with others.
“Whether assisting an individual senior or steering complex litigation that helped thousands of Ohioans, Bill has been guided by his desire to improve the quality of life of his senior clients by securing their health care,” wrote Pro Seniors’ Executive Director, Rhonda Moore, in a nomination letter.
Hambley’s work has included litigation to protect resident rights, securing access to healthcare for low-income seniors, and ensuring veterans receive the benefits they earned and deserve.
